For me it was the workout capabilities. You'd be surprised how much you actually want to close those rings.

But basically, I had a fitbit and enjoyed using it, and the Apple Watch is the fitbit with more capabilities.

I have the GPS-Non LTE version, and yes, as you pointed out...

But a lot of times, using the watch comes in handy by itself. For instance, you have 8GB space to store things like music.

So, it you want to go workout/run/hike and leave your phone at home, you can still have music to listen to.

If you want two have two cell phones, pay the extra for the LTE version, because that's basically what you'll be paying for.
