They definitely should have shown that Leia would know Luke was using some type of astral projectuon. It would have made sense since she obviously has some handle on the force in the movie and EU.

In fairness, they may have done that.
Leia left Han's dashboard dice behind instead of taking it with her so she may have known it wasn't really there.
Which makes Luke even more of an idiot for maxing out his power to the point of death just so the Millenium Falcon's dashboard dice could be with Leia in spirit for a few minutes so I guess I shouldn't have gone there.

I watched this movie for the 2nd time yesterday and I was openly looking for this. Luke actually touches her and kisses her goodbye. I assume she knew it was not him actually there. But they should have explained that better.
But that would have blown the reveal.
