IDK, the rule where you can under throw your receiver 50 yards down the field and get a pass interference call is pretty bad too.

Why does the offense deserve to get the ball if they fumble the ball through the endzone? Essentially telling the defense that because they were successful in forcing the fumble, that they should have to redo it just because nobody landed on it in time in the endzone. When offenses fumble through their own end zone( think botched snaps on punts,) should the safety rule come into effect or should the punter get another shot at a punt?
The spot of the fumble argument is lame as well. I’ve seen fumbles get fumbled and (unintentionally) kicked around 10 yards before a player finally lands on it, and every time the ball was placed where it was downed.
