I'm thinking 22ish near term and $25k by the end of the year.

Based on?

With this level of speculation, why not $40k?

The technicals point to this being very possible. Not saying it's probable, but not out of the question. When it moves, it can move parabolic

I don't expect it to hit 50k but 40-45k is reasonably, my reasons are others will create something that will compete with Bitcoin and keep the price down.

I hear you and agree but think Bitcoin being superceeded to the general public, is years away.

The man on the street has no idea about the other coins and tokens. They want bitcoin.

What concerns me is that the man on the street has no idea why he wants Bitcoin, other than the price keeps going up.

Which doesn't bother me as long as he keeps driving the price up so I can sell at 30-40k

Nah. Don’t let that concern you.

In my mind it’s very similar to them buying a TV. They don’t care how it converts energy into pictures. They just want to watch tv.

They just want to own bitcoin and make some money holding it. They don’t care about the stunning currency revolution and disruptive technological mechanics as the future is being built.

If Bitcoin had some kind of exclusive proprietary interest in blockchain tech, I wouldn't care, either. But, it doesn't. And while Bitcoin has first mover advantage, that only goes so far. You're already seeing other cryptos start to heat up, purely as a speculative play. Crypto market capitalization is flirting with motherfricking Microsoft's. And unless someone tells me they would prefer to own every bit of crypto in the world more than they would like every share of Microsoft, something is fundamentally off here.

Now, do I wish in hindsight that I had sold the farm and bought all the Bitcoin I could get my hands on? Sure, but only in the same way that I wish I knew next week's Powerball numbers. I can't conceive of how the current market cap for cryptos begins to make any damned sense, and I'm afraid that once the selling starts, it might not stop for a long, long way down.

Or I could be wrong, and you could all end up millionaires. I genuinely wish you the best. It's just not for me

Thanks bud. But so far, so good.

You should take a deep dive into some of the Alt white papers. PLR & PPP will blow your mind with the value they are bringing to individual people.

Which is what BTC does. I can send my kid money, anywhere in the world in minutes with just a few magic numbers for hardly any cost. Can’t really do that with Microsoft stock.

No, but I can do it with Venmo. And I would still prefer the stock
