There were so many missed oppurtunities. They killed an iconic character like Admiral Ackbar without even showing his death on screen. While I liked Admiral Holdo, her character wasn’t needed. It should have been Ackbar that sacrificed himself for the Resistance instead. It would have added more weight to the scene to see a legacy character meet his end instead of someone we as an audience never met before.

I feel like this film erased everything that the original trilogy stood for. Luke is so quick to give up on his nephew. His darkness doesn’t compare to that of his grandfather’s. Yet Luke who was able to redeem Vader of all people suddenly doesn’t think he can turn his blood back to the light?

Ummm, yeah. Didn’t think about this.... what the frick were they thinking with this?

Ans empire guy should have yelled "its a trap" just before Akbar hyperspaces their ship.

How could anyone involved not have suggested it?
