2nd floor thermostat is on the second floor landing. If all the room doors are closed the heat from bottom floor gets trapped up there, so the 2nd floor heat doesn't turn on causing the rooms to freeze. I had to figure out setting the first flow low enough at night that the 2nd floor thermostat triggers and heats the rooms just right
I have the same setup, but a slightly different problem. The door to the walk-in attic is at the top of the stairs, right next to the thermostat. So cold air from the attic seeps out making that area a good 5-10 degrees cooler than the bedrooms in the winter and 5-10 degrees warmer in the summer. I've tried weather seal on that door, replaced the door, and a threshold all to no avail.
Sounds like I should get the Ecobee to put the sensors in the bedrooms.
