and its more about the gradual shift of where things are headed, not just "oh man I mean nothing has really changed since 2015"

so how will this impact things like streaming services? Will directtv(att) and other companies now be able to basically block the streaming services like Vue or sling and force us back into high priced cable/satellite?

People with “free market” responses are so fricking dumb. Look around. There is no free market in telecommunications and utilities. There are two internet providers in BR, and ATT doesn’t even service everywhere. Cox is now in completely in charge of what about half of BR can access on the internet.
There will be no competition. Iqbal and Twombly saw to that. The big companies won’t infringe on each other’s territory and it will be impossible to prove collusion. It’s half infuriating half hilarious that everyone crowing about the defeat of gov’t regulations and no gov’t control or super fine with huge global corporations responsible to no one with no required transparency running their lives
fricking exactly SFP. Blind “deregulate everything sheep” trying to defend this like telecommunications giants and ISP are equivalent to grocery stores or whatever where a natural free market can work are blind. And don’t study history. We literally learned 100 years ago that complete deregulation results in monopolies that kill the free market. Enter Teddy Roosevelt and trust busting.
But people are falling for the same Reaganomivs trickle down bullshite as always, “give us super rich corporations way more money and we’ll give you a better product.” bullshite. They’ll give a better product if you can pay out the arse. Most people will the same internet experience at a higher cost
