I didn't argue any of this. I never said it was his fault. Still, the fact remains that he didn't live up to what he could of been. I never stated a reason why... We all know what the issues were.
If I remember correctly there was enough information from an interview, Vikings GM, to say Hunter didn't receive the level of coaching he should've gotten or one would expect from a program like LSU.

Chavis' scheme didn't change from the days of Sonic Sam/Mingo (or Overstreet) to Hunter/Rasco to Garrett/Hall. What changed was Haley's effort, in coaching and recruiting. IMHO, Miles was way too nice to him.

thanks, very good info. You're mentioning one thing that slips through the cracks sometimes (not just Scott). Versatility. Aranda values it. And not the "tweener" version... where a player can't quite fill either role. Potentially, he could fill a stand-up role or hand in the dirt role just fine. That's very valuable.
