I have seen democrats here tonight liken a vote for Moore as a vote for a pedophile.
Given the standard of evidence on both sides and how the media covered for one and dug against the other. Can we discuss the effect it has on both parties constituents?

I am fine with talking about getting NON establishment but better candidates later. I wouldn't mind the game finally changing. Alas, tonight all we saw was the people getting another swamp dweller elected.

Sure, we can talk about it. Several Democrats have gone down recently for the same exact thing but you're pretending like it's only the Republicans that are being victimized. You sound defensive. This was a thread about how democrats disgustingly blocked and guarded and defended Bill Clinton for rape with a preponderance of evidence. Yet at the simple accusation, some which have been disproved, a right wing guy goes down. I am fine with discussing the likeness to the Roy Moore voters as long as we agree to rationally discuss how they're dissimilar to the Bill Clinton / Hillary supporters as well.

Al Franken? Conyers was blatantly guilty, dead to rights. AL Fraken has been proven to have done fairly egregious things and still hasn't officially stood down. Although, now it looks like he won't have any options (not that it hurts democrat seats).
MY point is not whataboutism... it's about a brutal double standard from a democrat to a republican. It's not an equal standard, and you know THAT is true as well. Most of your dems that are going down aren't elected officials.

No I don't know that's true at all. The only thing that I can see his true is that when a republican is caught they deny it and when a democrat is caught, they resign. the only double standard here is how many conservative and right wing morons are calling for every liberals had who does something like this but then fervently defend the right wing person with the same allegations.

Bill Clinton never went after kids which is a completely different frontier.
The culture has changed with sexual harassment and Clinton would have a tough time getting support from Democrats if he were starting his political career today.

Allegations require evidence. Otherwise we could all accuse people of anything and they'd be guilty.
There is a shite storm of evidence from Bill. Not so with Moore. What is to stop ANY future election from being rigged this way. You have to confront the possibility he is innocent, but I doubt you have.

Culture has changed with sexual harrassment? What does that mean? Who controls that culture? I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with the media... unless you assume the media doesn't control perception. Harder to keep a lid on perception with the advent of the internet. In Bill's day, the internet wasn't what it is today.

Bingo. Also, how does it feel to STILL defend him after ALL of this? Because they know if they admit it, they know they have no moral high horse to be on anymore.
Especially after Alabamian voters didn't give THEIR guy enough support tonight from a SIMPLE accusation. It means Republican voters DO listen to their hearts even though they very well may have been misled.
