I member, the news showing the blowed up mailboxes and the then credible FBI all over small offices that were targets.
That was the thing that really stymied the investigators I imagine. He went after small targets and not the big indy giants. If I remember correctly, only 1 target was even in a multi business/occupant building. All the rest were single residences and stand alone businesses.

The reason he was named the "Unabomber" was because his targets were mostly Universities (Un) and airlines (A)... I want to say the last bomb he sent was to some government agency..
