But here is your bigger problem, JBE is a good man

I will disagree with that.

He takes great effort to make that impression.

He is in my first person observations an arrogant, not too smart, elitist seeking every opportunity for personal profit from his political career. He understands completely the profits his hero Huey Long made from his populist politics. He courts the poor and minorities but has no respect for them IMHO. They are simply the base from which he obtains his power---the power he uses to advance the Edwards machine.

There was a long article on his family when his father was selected to entire the Louisiana Politics Hall of Fame and they were quick to point out their family received a large land grant from the King of France and fought for the Confederacy. When JBE made his run that little fact was deemed politically sensitive and all mentions were squashed.

He truly wants to assembly a class action lawsuit against oil and gas companies blaming them exclusively for coastal erosion and farm it out to his trial lawyer friends much like Moore did in Mississippi with tobacco. There are other such class action lawsuits that his old, very tiny law firm have been allowed to participate in since he became governor. No doubt the plaintiffs seek the power of the office for their advantage.
