I don't buy this excuse. Georgia has had a true freshman qb start the last two seasons. They didn't go into the tank like this FSU team.

With or without your starting qb, Jimbo had more talent at every position than just about every team he played save bama. he should have been able to pound the rock, play solid D and win 8-9 games.

Exactly. In James Blackman's first start, as a true freshman without a pass attempt, he threw the ball 38 times. The 5 deep on the RB depth chart includes 3 5 stars and 2 4 stars. We should have literally been able to line up in the I Formation and run iso every single play of the 2nd half against Boston College and had more than 30 yards of offense, but that's what we had. Losing Francois obviously hurt, the hurricane obviously threw things off, but this was one of the worst coached football team in the country this year, if not the worst.
