I have a 2011 RAM 4-door, V8. 141k miles on it. Had 77-78k om it when I bought it 3 years ago. Truck runs like a champ. No major problems. I put it through hell to. It's not a car, it's a truck.
People who shite all over Rams have likely never driven one. I drove all 3 major brands with my previous company. RAM 1500s and 2500s; F-150s and F-250s, and Chevy/GMC 1500s, 2500s, and 3500s. RAM was by far my favorite, then Ford, and frick a GM. Towed trailers with all of them. Went off road in all of them. The RAMs always drove the best to me, followed by the Fords.

I'm hearing really great things about the new ram. They the only ones with a coil over rear suspension. I would steer clear of the eco diesel, I've heard a lot of people are complaining of lack of power and a few buy backs due to trouble. The half ton diesel is nothing but a novelity.
