If Mayfield were black and Flowers were white, the conversation would be the exact same now with Mayfield dominating the coverage and no one giving a shite about Flowers.

I'd go the other way and say if Mayfield were black it's plausible that some at ESPN would treat him more harshly for his "thuggish" behavior.

The notion that black people are referred to as thugs by tv and news outlets is laughable now.

Do you really think ESPN anchors would refer to it as thuggish?
