I still have a LA license plate from probably 5 years ago and I've never been alerted of a fine. I've used dmv to get a new true ID license recently also.

I just sold my car to a scrap place in Cali. Canceled the insurance and took the plate off but didn’t even know I needed to turn in my plate. Figured once the VIN changed to a new owner that was that.

We’ll see if the LA boogeyman comes after me?...

Did you sell the vehicle, or just stop driving it?
