What do you want him to say? They didn't make enough plays to win. In fact, they shot themselves in the foot too many times. Otherwise, this could have been a blowout. It's the NFL. The Saints should not apologize for the win. But I would be sick about losing this game if I were a Redskins player/coach/fan.

They jumped offside on a FG attempt which then forced them to punt. That's 3 points they could have had.

Smith earholes Brees to keep a Saints drive alive where they eventually scored a TD.

They intercept a pass which would have ended the game...only the DB hooked the facemask of the Saints WR and the Int came off the board.

In range for the game-winning FG the WR doesn't know what he's supposed to do..leading to an intentional grounding that takes them out of range

Any one of those plays could have made this a comfortable win for Washington. So he's right...they didn't make enough plays
