Not sure if this was addressed in a previous thread, but can anyone explain why we started the last drive of first half with two Guice carries to run a minute off the clock down to 30 seconds,
People have already answered this.

With 2 minutes to go in the half, LSU was up 17-3, a comfortable lead.
Tennessee scored FAST to cut it to 17-10. They would recieve the opening kickoff. They were out of TO's in the first half.

Bad clock management would allow Tennessee to get another possession, possibly score, and start the 2nd half with the chance to take the opening kickoff and drive for the lead.

1st play was an incomplete pass to Charles anyways so OP doesn’t even matter. 2nd play was a run to get the clock moving to make sure if we didn’t convert 3rd down then UT was left with no to little time left for their possession. Overall excellent clock management all game.
