You push it forward and it is just ounces. If you don't touch it, it's a normal trigger pull.

Regardless, I'd rather spend my money on something that still has value at the end of the day. And we aren't talking about world beating money for a CZ, they are still reasonably priced.

It's fine if you want to drop minimal money on a marlin, I'm sure they are fine shooters, and they have their place. But people who choose something else aren't "blowing money".

No clue how the new ones are... but i have one of the original marlin 917vs 17hmr when they first came out. All i did was drop a rifle basix trigger in it. And it will shoot just as good as any $3000 competetion 22lr with match ammo. And i can guarantee you that. We have rimfire target shoots here where 17 and 22 shoot together and i win just as many or more rounds than guys with 2 and 3grand guns.
