Standard League, Need an RB2 and a flex:
D.Martin vs Miami
L. Murray vs Rams
J. Mixon vs. Denver
Robert Woods vs. Vikings
I'm leaning to Martin and Woods and hoping that Rhodes covers Watkins all day.
Martin and Mixon, but Woods is not a bad play, Rhodes should be on Watkins
quote:
Woods has been the Rams’ no-doubt #1 WR based on production, having gone off for 2 TDs in back-to-back games, tallying his first 4 scores of the season the last two weeks in blowout wins. Woods has now tallied at least 10 FP in a PPR format in five consecutive games, after opening with just one such performance in the first four games of the season. This week, he takes on a Vikings defense that has overall been very good this year but does have a beatable CB in Waynes opposite Xavier Rhodes. The big question is if the Vikings will choose to shadow Woods or Sammy Watkins with Rhodes – my guess is it will be Watkins. First of all, Woods typically plays on the right side of the formation or in the slot, where Waynes is more comfortable, while Watkins is more likely to play on the left side. Watkins is also more typically the X-iso receiver for the Rams, which would be more conducive to Rhodes’ shadow coverage. Also, just a few weeks ago, the Cardinals opted to play Patrick Peterson more on Watkins, so I’ll guess the Vikings will do the same. That should open plenty of opportunities for Woods to succeed against Waynes, who has allowed a 6th-most 491 yards in coverage according to ProFootballFocus, and also gave up the spectacular TD catch to Washington’s little-known Maurice Harris last week.
