Of course there are other reasons than money to leave and no one will likely ever know what they are. Stranger things have happened.

Think about it though. He runs an entire program with little resistance and an easy sledding schedule. At Texas A&m he will be second in command and it becomes a bloodbath battle for recruits and he has limited time to win. Doesnt make sense. He had a much easier ride starting again at LSU why would he make the same move under harsher conditions?
