It had some good shots, don't get me wrong, it's just nothing special. Like another poster said, it's just not memorable. If I'm at a bar talking about movies with great cinematography and brought up Last of the Mohicans, I would probably be asked to leave.

No one said it had the greatest cinematography of all time, and no, when talking about cinematography, LotM is not in the first 50 films I would personally mention. But you said:

Cinematography? LOL

Which is different. Additionally, just because the cinematography isn't the greatest cinematography of all time, doesn't make the cinematography "LOL" worthy. It's still very good, far above average camera work.

When it comes to "greatest of all time" in any aspect/feature/category of film, there are usually a handful of worthy subjects with some outlier interesting cases. I would easily say 99.99999% of films don't fall into 2-3 of those categories simultaneously, but again, this does not necessarily reduce the "greatness" of a particular film.

It seems like you think people slot LoTM into the Casablanca/Godfather/Pick Your Hitchcock/The Good the Bad the Ugly Tier of films, and I don't think that many people do.

Additionally, you should say "I don't think Last of the Mohicans is as good as people think it is...." then presented some facts, rather than "Why do so many people say this is a good movie?" and "Cinematography? LOL." Your implication is that LotM is a bad movie, which is either 1) Troll or 2) Completely Unwarranted and generally incorrect "opinion"
