Again, I am on the fence with him. He is slowly winning me over.

With that said, anyone that thinks he isn't heavily involved in the game planning, or anyone that thinks he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about, really needs to listen closely to his press conferences. He gives away a ton of nuggets and it is quite obvious he knows his shite. He clearly has a strategic plan for each game. He isn't pausing and searching for the answers.

I think people are significantly underestimating him. Sometimes failure can be the best thing for any talented person in any profession. My bet is that we are going to benefit from his lackluster years at Ole Miss.

I remember thinking in our early games this year (as most of you also noted) that there was no energy on the sidelines. Players looked like they'd rather being doing something else. Coach O quickly addressed that and has specific people in charge of keeping players actively engaged and the energy up. This is just one example.

I just think he is smarter than people want to give him credit for. Just about every single issue we point out as fans, he sees it also and addresses it immediately. Quite different than LM.

To me, ED O's tenure will come down to one single thing. Can he change the culture of the QB position. Can he recruit QB's and recruit at the level of the top programs. If he does this, and based on how well I think our team is being coached, he is going to win several championships.

Is this "official"?
Has the news media been informed of this yet?

He’s impressed me all year in press conferences. Post-Troy has been a fun run as well. These last two games will show a lot about O.

Well regardless of Ole Miss, he was around the TheU late 80's early 90's and Pete Carroll's USC, so he knows what big time winning culture is like.

And that can't happen unless he can change the culture of QB' at LSU and recruit at the top level. wouldn't you agree?

Too early but if we finish out of the top 10 in recruiting I’ll be concerned.

Man, I’ve gotten past my O hate. I’m cool with him being the HC and all, but let’s not pretend the man is heavily involved in the game plan. He’s a clock watching, recruiting cheerleader. That’s it. If you think he does anything but listens to Aranda and Canada’s game plans, your mental. He even admitted the one time he did get involved and the disaster it was.
