Let me make sure I understand this kind of retort - police brutality cannot be criticized/protested against until black on black crime is solved?

If I remember correctly, black on black crime has a severely higher death count, so in that sense I would be much more for that type of thinking. Though police brutality isn't a race issue IMO, as much as other people want to make it that way.

No, some people are just scratching their heads at the allocation of attention.

It'd be a bit like us swapping the allocation of research funds between breast cancer and the common cold. Sure, both need to be addressed, but there is an elephant in the room.

Honestly the allocation of attention/outrage on this issue leads me to believe the only lives black lives matters care about are the black lives they can use to call white people racist.
