So now that it’s pretty much no debate that a 13-0 Badgers team will make the playoffs, I pose this question. Can the Badgers lose this week and make the playoffs? If Bama wins out, as long as they beat OSU they’ll probably get in. That’s exactly what happened to Washington last year. Assuming Bama beats Auburn and Georgia and Clemson beats Miami, it’ll come down to :
13-0 Bama
12-1 Oklahoma
12-1 Clemson

12-1 Miami- potential top 25 wins ND, VT
12-1 Wisconsin- potential top 25 wins, OSU, NW, Iowa, Big 10 Champ
11-2 USC- potential top 25 wins, Stanford (x2), PAC 12 Champ

Lose and you'll need help. Oklahoma will have to lose again and Southern Cal can't win the Pac-12.

Nope, can't lose, especially this late.

For all those who are saying no, who would get that 4th spot then? USC with a good chance of no top 25 wins and a blowout vs ND? Miami coming off a loss vs Clemson with a weak resume?

Ohio State 11-2 has a better chance to make the playoffs than 12-1 Wisconsin

I agree with that. The Big 10 Champ has a great chance whether it’s a 11-2 OSU or a 12-1 Wisconsin. Unless Auburn beats Bama. Just too many losses still coming for other teams that will vault OSU/Wisconsin into the top 4.

Oh god no, not after that shitshow last night. You don’t lose by 30+ in one of your last games of the season and get in over a conference Champ with two more wins and one less loss

ND has zero chance with two losses to make the playoffs. Rightfully so

if they were 11-1, theyd be a lock but they blew it

Miami is 2 TDs better than anyone Wisconsin has remaining on their schedule.

If they lose they are out. It's better for the badgers to lose now than to get defeated in the big ten title game.

Ohio State would beat them. I think it's time people accept the fact that the big 10 is getting in a team whether it's an undefeated or one loss Wisconsin or a two loss Ohio State

Wisconsin won't make the playoffs even if it goes 13-0. Alabama, Oklahoma, Miami, Clemson, Georgia all have stronger resumes. Heck if ND wins the rest of its games it has a better resume. This is what you get for scheduling rent a wins while being in the Big Ten West.

Yeah that 30 point loss is what the committee is looking for

Maybe. They will be 12-1, with their final win coming against Ohio St. The problem is that a win over OSU would be by far their biggest win of the year, but the Buckeyes would have 3 losses on the season.

Michigan has had a disappointing season, but they will still be the best team Wisky faced in the regular season. It won’t look good to the committee to lose against the only good team on their schedule. I don’t know if beating a 3-loss Buckeye team will be enough to vault them back into the playoffs.

However, they will still be a 1 loss team and BIG10 champs. I doubt a 2 loss team gets in over them.
