re: When will Baseball Cards make a Comeback?

Around 1995 or so I sat my sister down and explained to her why my investment in baseball cards was a much sounder investment than her Beanie Babies. I used a Beckett to show her how much my Mark McGwire and Ken Griffey Jr rookie cards among other high value cards were worth and explained to her that she was wasting her money on Beanie Babies. A couple of years later a woman who had a kid in my mom's class took 20 of my sisters Beanie Babies to a convention in Chicago and brought back $15k for my little sister. I had to borrow money from her Beanie Baby spoils to buy my first car, and 20 years later I have a closet full of cards collecting dust
