What happened to the country music groups?
Alabama - still around. Retired for a while but are back touring and doing some recording. They are playing Atlanta in the spring with Charlie Daniels
Statler Brothers - retired.
Diamond Rio - changed their focus to more Christian music as opposed to mainstream country
Shenandoah - Still around. Marty Raybon left for a while, but rejoined them about 3 years ago. I think they are still touring and recording. Thy may have gone in a bit more bluegrass/Christian direction.
Confederate Railroad - still recording and touring.
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Just celebrated their 50th year and did a tour and a show at the Ryman. Jimmie Fadden and Jeff Hanna are the only two original members, not sure how much more touring they will do after the big celebration.
Bellamy Brothers - still touring
Oak Ridge Boys - still around. Inducted into the CMHoF a few years ago. Still show up on the Opry a good bit and tour.
Blackhawk - Sort of fell apart after Van Stephenson died. Henry Paul and Dave Robbins have recently gotten back together and are doing some touring as Blackhawk.
