DBT has always been pretty progressive when it comes to their lyrics. There latest album has a song about police shooting down innocent black kids.

Just last night on fb they made a poli statement and the comments were hilarious.

politics asides Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley can put on a hell of a show. It’s even better when Isball joins in. They’re in my Top 3 bands to see live.

Not a huge fan but do like some of their older stuff. I don't doubt Isbell's talent, but the SJW dumbshit is a huge turnoff for me.

edit: But, much of what I've heard from solo Isbell is a drag/depressing.
