If you're simply going with kids, not really. Extremely busy with the Food and Wine Festival coming to a close the first weekend of Nov. I'd say the two weeks between then and Thanksgiving are good. The "slowest" time is mid-late January but you'll get a lot of Brazilian tour groups since it's their big vacation.

that is when we went and it was still way too crowded for me

I can't imagine what it is like during the busy season

We were there at that time once as well... I swear, there were a brazilian Brazilians....

With no fricking sense of personal space....

We went middle of September and it was perfect. Right before the Halloween and food and wine stuff and right after summer vacations are done.
