If LSU finishes with a 6-2 record in the SEC, that will be be the best they've finished since the 2012 season. How many posters here thought that was attainable before the season started?

Their last three games are very winnable!

I agree with this, although I do think A&M will put up a much tougher fight than many expect.

No one expected the SEC to be as down as it has been this year. Miles easily goes 6-2 in this league this year.

I don't think you realize how many inexplicable losses to inferior SEC opponents Miles had in his last 4 years as LSU's head coach. The word "easily" doesn't exist with Miles.

They are the toughest game remaining, but if reports are correct, Sumlin will be a dead man walking going into that game and we will be looking at a chance for a good bowl game.

The Troy loss is such a black eye to this season. Going 10-2 with a loss to Bama which is expected, then losing to state sucks but beating everyone else would have easily made up for that. Would have been a damn good season.

If we win out itll be a decent season.

Inexplicable like getting blown out by State and losing to Troy?

I don't want him back. I'm merely stating that 6-2 in this year's SEC isn't all that big of a deal.

6-2 in the SEC this year means we beat 1 ranked SEC team.....

Our last 3 SEC games will be against teams that will fire their coaches, think about that

The SEC is a shell of its former self. LSU should have went 7-1 this year but I'll take 6-2.

You expected us to play 5 SEC opponents who will fire their coaches?

Think about that guys, 5/8 SEC opponents are going to fire their coaches

Realistically...we had the talent to have gone 11-1 this year and choked on arguably two of the easier teams on our schedule. I am sickened to be honest.

. Possibly none. Auburn is staring 8-4 in the face. Though they would have losses to 3 top ten teams.

The SEC has been down for 2-3 years now, and all of the coaches who are responsible for that are still here. And then you have Ole Miss, who was going to be bad no matter what, given their situation.

Why would the conference be any better?

Most everyone didnt think Arky, Florida, A&M, and Tenn would all be so bad they are going to fire their coach
