Actually I was at the Lions game also and I will tell you that the crowd and the crowd noise has not been an issue for me even with the open seats.
Not as many as the Lions game but several patches could still be visible.
I will add this that to me it almost feels like a abuilding effect. We as fans not that the last three seasons have not gone as expected or hoped. The Saints were on a 5 game winning streak and in a way it was almost like the fans were saying---not today, not on our watch.

It is not likely I would be able to attend any regular season game this year. Postseason...I can justify taking some time off and flying home.
