He missed Guice wide open in the flat on the same damn play he missed in the Auburn game. Danielson pointed it out. There wasn’t a Bama defender within 20 yards of Guice and he threw it downfield to Chark in coverage. Like the previous poster says he does not see the field, locks onto his first option most of the time and is probably incapable of calling a successful audible.

Frankly with his tendency to lock in on receivers, him calling audibles would probably be disastrous. A competent defensive coordinator would figure him out relatively quickly and turn him over.

He just doesn't make good pre-snap reads and doesn't read keys once the ball is in his hands. His decision making is much better than QBs we've had in the past but he still is below average.
