I never put any stock in exhibitions plus I'm sure it was Tulane's Super Bowl down there on campus.
It was a horrendous shooting night that you will rarely see again. The injuries concern me more than anything. There is no margin for error and if you don't have a full roster it's even worse.
No reason not to play home and home with Tulane in hoops, could be a nice little rivalry to generate some fan interest since the non conf schedule is usually pretty watered down to begin with and LSU has struggled putting fans in the seats during Nov and Dec.
The SEC is going to be some tough sledding because there is a lot more depth to the league. You have a couple programs that have had time to improve their rosters.
It will be a miracle if this team makes NIT, but the studs will be here next year and at least we will see some coaching on the sidelines.
