Cardale Jones came in for Ohio State vs Bama in 2015 NC. Saban and co couldn't contain him. They had no tape on him.

Cardale Jones played because the 2 other QBs ahead of him on the depth chart were knocked out due to injury.

They also had a stable offensive line, Zeke, Mike Thomas, Curtis Samuel, Devin Smith, and Jeff Heuerman. Also their defense consisted of Joey Bosa, Marshon Lattimore, Eli Apple, Gareon Conley, Vonn Bell, Josh Perry, Darron Lee, Curtis Grant, Raekwon McMillin, Adolphus Washington, and Cam Burrows. (All of whom are playing in the NFL)
Not to mention their HC was Urban Meyer and Tom Herman was their offensive coordinator.
