re: Neck Shots on Deer

I'm not a firm believer in neck shots. Shot placement off slightly and it can be non fatal. They may hit the deck, but it can be just a paralyzing affect with poor placement. I don't like looking for a deer either, but behind the shoulder in the vitals damages no meat and even though they may run a bit, the animal will die quickly. Hitting lungs, liver, or heart is the most effective and humane way to kill an animal.
