Snowden was definitely a traitor.
It seems there were a few domestic surveillance things that were overboard and unconstitutional; I could applaud a proper whistle blower (went to a member of Congress, etc...).
But Snowden wasn't a whistle blower, he was a traitor / spy.

If you are a government employee or contractor there are laws that protect you from revealing illegal government action.
Snowden didn't do this. He burrowed into a position where he had authority to access certain government information, then dumped that information publicly, and then fled the country like a bitch.
To Russia.
