LSP or municipal? If local, call the courthouse and ask what you can do to keep it off your record. Pay the thing and keep it off record b/c that cop will show up.

The Basin Bridge will either be an LSP trooper or a local sheriff's deputy. Either way the ticket goes to the local district attorney's office. Call the DA to see if you can get the charge reduced to a non-moving violation. They will most likely have you complete an on-line driver safety course and you're done.

Maybe not even that. Last time I got a ticket on the basin was from LSP and they popped me in Iberville Parish. I went to the courthouse before my court date to see if they'd be willing to make a plea deal and they had a pre-typed letter to the DA requesting that your ticket be reduced to a non-moving violation in exchange for a plea and full fines. You just filled in the ticket number, the clerk filled in the fine amount, you paid your fine, and you just went on your way and that was it. Of course, Iberville is on the East end of the bridge and OP got tagged in Henderson, so he'll be dealing with St. Martin Parish, not Iberville. Iberville has actual industry, St. Martin not so much.

They live and die by those tickets on the West end of the bridge, so OP's experience may vary.

EDIT: Yes, I know. I can't read.
