Which is why I said "individual" positions.

So sure, you could make the argument that a guy like Roaf is more valuable than a HoF QB. It would just be laughable

What a ridiculous statement

Comprehension isn’t a strong suit today....I said....

...and you pick one olineman from a statement about a group of individuals making a whole....

What a ridiculous statement

I was speaking about HoF level players......and I bet you knew that already.

You have you opinions, I have mine. Whats wrong ranging the greats by athleticism and over all accomplishments combined? Jim Brown and Jerry Rice as great football players and superior athletes. Both of whom have been said to be the greatest to ever play. Seriously, QB is the exception to the rule in some cases, but the athletic freaks like Lawrence Taylor or Randy Moss that also have the credentials to put themselves in the HoF standout for me.

That's b/c that was my point:

quote:

You can easily make the argument that the most important individual position is QB making the best player likely a QB.

and then you respond with a statement about a group of individuals making a whole......................

quote:

I have my opinion of athleticism being valued as much as stats and accomplishments.

Just gets more ridiculous every time. Cam Newton must be a HoFer in your eyes

So what part of me saying that I agree with Brady holding the greatest QB title as of now?

I just wouldn’t give him the title of the best football player ever...

I’ll quote myself again since you’re replying for other people....
quote:

In everything I have stated I’ve mentioned ability, accomplishments, and talent. So no prowess isn’t the end all be all. The dumb part is that you are reading way too much into it, There are far too many positions of expertise to rate one against another to declare a QB as the greatest. You’re making a mountain out of a molehill...

You just won't give up on the Brees hate. I love it.

His arm is live as frick. Go look at that pass to TLL. He's thrown some ropes in every game this year, you dope.

I will say, he's had a much bigger tendency as of the past several years for the WTF passes, but his arm is still strong. His accuracy is still on point. He can fit it in some tight windows, and make quick reads.

The thing is, he has average to slightly below average arm strength now. In his prime, he had one of the stronger arms in the nfl and could pretty much be lethal at any time with deep passes without needing to step into it. He was maybe only behind the Newtons, Cutlers, and Arodgers of the league. Now he's middle of the pack at best in his ability to throw guys open with lasers down the seam.

If his arm was really still live he wouldn't throw screens when any other team would try a Hail Mary from their own 40. They simply won't call it even when it's the obvious call bc they are afraid that one of the GOATS will embarrass and expose himself. See the game on Sunday
