The sad thing is the appointment in the first place. Pulling an appointment does not cancel out the poor decision initially made. Making the appointment reveals your true identity, which hasn't changed.
UN does more harm than good by legitimizing tyrants and oppressive regimes.

The tendency of catering to the lowest common denominator is flawed. Humans will socialize ourselves out of existence.
