Obviously the public in general found the accusations to be false. Hiring Gloria Allred was the first indication there was no truth to the story. Timing the accusations to come to light during the height of a political campaign was the second.

I think the big difference as far as public perception is concerned is that rumors of Weinstein’s misconduct were widespread for decades. They literally wrote jokes about it on multiple network tv shows. In contrast, trump had never once been associated with sexual misconduct prior to running for office.

Weinstein went down because it confirmed everyone’s suspicions. Trump survived because no one had serious suspicions prior to professional opposition researchers attempting to stop him from becoming the most powerful person in the world. Even if both cases are true, one certainly appears to have more inherent credibility than the other

Twice now you've brought this up. What's your take on Obama not only keeping Weistein's money but also instead of denouncing Weistein...he denounces the conduct. Obama will go down as the most corrupt "sleazy mf'er" in presidential history.
