This is a really crappy Russia story but I'm gonna save it. Yesterday I watched an interview with Mike Eruzioni (sp) about the 1980 Hockey win vs. the USSR.
He said that in a practice game against the Soviet 'B' squad a Russian player was checked hard against the glass causing his jersey to lift and expose a gun.
Eruzioni said he later found out the guy was working for the KGB to arrest any Soviet hockey players who were plotting to defect. None did.
Those were the days.
