Hey Rob, I'm not trying to brag at all, but I know you are a reagan fan so I think you'd find this interesting:

I was able to visit his private ranch (rancho del cielo) up in the mountains above santa barbara late last week. It is owned and operated by YAF (young america's foundation), which I am somewhat involved in. You can only go up there on private tours with private guides and its pretty inaccessible to the general public. It was my second time up there.

It was incredible. Everything is as it was when he owned it. His bookcase with all his books, his bed, the clothes in the closet. The actual ranch house is so small and simple, you'd never think it was a president's. His tools were still in the workshop. It was an amazing experience. I got to visit the secret service bunker that was built about 1000 yards up the hill from his ranch.

The groundskeeper was once the secret service guy who reagan used to ride horses with up there. I got teary eyed when he told me of the last time reagan tried to ride his horse, when the alzheimers was getting pretty bad. He was the one who had to break it to the president that it just wasn't possible anymore to ride.

That is fricking awesome!

I use to work with his son Michael 30 years ago when he did talk radio....he use to tell some great stories about Reagan...probably why I love him so much.
