I was planning on taking my boat (1st time) to Chandeleur Islands
You have a very nice boat. If you draw roughly 4.5, I would advise against taking that out there since it would be your first time given the forecast. You've probably got a lot of experience captaining that boat, but loosing an anchor out there in the middle of the night with a windshift is not a fun time. Theres a ton of sandbars out there are you can't always rely on the GPS charts.
There are certain bayous in the Biloxi Marsh that will accommodate a large boat like yours, no need to mothership from Lake B. That would be a blast. I would suggest that. Always a good time back there.
