When it’s sunscreen, it’s fine, but a sun shirt that does the same thing is too far.

It seems excessive.
Unless your kid has a medical condition (like a real one) or he's a ginger (this is why HempHead gets a pass - and because he's a top 10 poster), there's no reason sunscreen won't do the trick.
