How does their trade with the US compare with remittances from Mexican nationals in the US? Because they could lose one or both of those if they keep fricking around.

I think remittances are like $50B a year.

So nothing compared to the trade, and reality is that there is no way to stop remittances.

IIRC, our trade deficit with Mexico is $59 billion/year. We send approximately $25 billion/year back to Mexico in the form of remittances and we give the Mexican government ~$250 million in foreign aid.
