I know these guys are talented and natural leaders already, but Riley and White have been the backbones of the defense.
I like the hell out of Riley, but Beckwith was the leader and the backbone. Defense took a step back when he was out.

I remember Brooks. He was one of the best, but I think he was an outside backer.

He was, but sometimes Arnsparger gave him free reign on the field....so you never really knew where he was coming from.
From a pure position standpoint he kind of reminds me of Bradie James and also Trev Faulk

White, to me, is a stand alone kind of player. He doesn’t need to be compared to other players. He’s a once in a decade type of athlete. Big, strong, fast, driven, instinctive, and dependable. And, other players know it when he hits them. It’s like he was genetically engineered to play Middle Linebacker.

It’s his team
We will have serious leadership next season imo
Hopefully he runs the offseason as well and brings up the next round of leaders.

Most recently, Minter and Sheppard were pretty good and have had long careers as starters in the NFL.
