from another thread:
Watch Chark at about the 8:53 mark. That is not a push off. He waiting till the last second to make his move to be in catch position that way defender(s) had little warning to locate the ball. That move made this catch. It had so much air under it if he had tracked directly to catch point the DB would have had better position than he, time to locate the ball, and no separation.

On that note watch Chark closely. He's learning to leave the hands relaxed and not in a fist. He always looks like he's ready for the ball. Well, not always but many times. Makes it tough on opposing DBs. Now he just needs to learn to fake them with the same type of reads, and THEN break (they'll be looking for the ball and not watching his hips). The other WRs need to learn all of this. They suck at the little things, just so damn talented and fast it makes up for it.

Etling has good pocket awareness. He's tough and willing hang in and make plays. He generally makes good reads and is relatively accurate. His fatal flaw though is his inability to pull the trigger on time. He is often late in the letting the ball go and doesn't have the arm strength to make up for just being slightly off-time
No, he does not. Most of his sacks are cause by him turning in a circle instead of sliding out underneath the DE circling behind him. It's like he chases his own tail when his read is not there and there is a 2 second window to bail and pick up yards. He should have had at least 1 INT as well.
I'll take the win, but every time we win some of you come out of hiding and go overboard with praising DE. The biggest issue I have with him is he panics and runs himself into sacks and he's way too inconsistent. You can't coach consistency. He's never had that or great awareness in the pocket. This will only go so far unless he fixes those things.
The oline has played well enough to not be off target as often as he's been. Managed the game outside of that, but we can only expect to win a few a few more games like that.
