Does that post make you feel good about yourself?? Just curious, because you come across as a clueless, insecure, and ignorant son of a bitch.

No, I wasn't raised around druggies, I wasn't friends with druggies, and I'm not professionally associated with druggies.

By virtue of the fact that I know exactly zero druggies, I don't know any druggies that OD'd (on heroin or any drug, for that matter).

That's part of what's wrong with people these days - there's no longer a sense of pride in not being a waste. It's Hands Across America for these people who fight our police and who are addicted prescription medication or illicit drugs.

I'll support you if you want to boo-hoo-hoo for those people, but I do take pride in not having anything to do with them or their ilk.

The thing is, in a lot of cases these people don't present the "normal signs" of a druggie.

In my case, the guys I knew all worked, were normal guys by normal standards. No one knew that they were having as large a problem as they did.

I wouldn't consider myself as someone that was "raised around druggies". In fact, the guys I knew that passed weren't raised around druggies either. They unfortunately got introduced to it later in life and paid the ultimate price for it.

I'd recommend you get off your soapbox and have a little compassion for folks. If we're being honest, you probably are associated with a "druggie" or two and just don't know it. I hope you never have to find out like some of us did.
