He played plenty in somewhat recent memory and threw 3 of the worst passes I've ever seen at the worst possible times to throw them.

1. 2003 playoffs in overtime at Philadelphia. Favre throws a pick so bad that Brian Dawkins basically could have fair caught it. He returns it for a nice gain, Eagles kick a FG, game and season over.

2. 2007 playoffs at home vs NYG. In overtime, Favre throws a horrendous out route that basically hit Corey Webster in the hands. NYG started their drive in FG range, kicked a FG, game and season over.

3. 2009 playoffs at NO. Statistically, Minnesota dominated that game. 3 Favre picks kept NO alive and his last one kept Minnesota from kicking a game winning FG. Minnesota loses in overtime.

If you remember these throws, you can't defend him for them. They were just awful. Everyone loves him because he was the great gunslinger, but he also set a career interceptions record that will likely never be broken.

ETA: I almost forgot about the 6 interception playoff game in St. Louis in 2001 when 3 of them were returned for touchdowns.
