No wonder the democrat party is deep in debt if it has members like this with such an insane fiscal mindset.
They could eliminate two vacations or at least improvise down to one and make it cheaper, start learning how to cook at home, start wearing the same clothes in a cycle, cut your own damn grass, stop driving everywhere so much.
God I hate broke arse millionaires that fly too close to the sun. I hope they get burnt if they're going to be irresponsible like this.
What the frick is this nonsense? They cover all of their costs, including insurance and retirement, while enjoying nice things and vacations, all while still having an extra $500 left over for anything else that might come up.
Seriously, what am I missing besides a bunch of phonies on the OT pretending they do better?

I think most just read the title and react based on that
its a misleading title as the hypothetical family is, in no way, just scraping by
could they do some things better? absolutely (like more towards retirement/investments), but you are right, this hypothetical family is doing way better than most

100% understand what you are saying, however my approach would be more investments. I didn't see an IRA or a brokerage account.
A lot of their money is invested in depreciating assets. They are not growing their business per say.
Again that is my approach. They are well within their right to be handling the way things are now, but they are not considered scraping by.
