I can accept being a "stupid frick" but what do you not understand about me saying I would not favor executing the disabled vs the able bodied? People with severe physical and mental problems would be spared that harsh treatment.

The paradox of this statement: in order to better life for the poor we have to selectively euthanize society's undesirables.
I believe that all human life is valuable. If your life is worth nothing, freedom cannot exist. Shaw's view of the value of life is monstrous. Human beings are more than expendable parts.

Our problems are because of government intervention.
Your op is terrifying. You aren't alone in wanting it,though. So, there's that and that's something.

cajunangelle ive never disrespected you before you in any way. I've up voted your posts many many times as well. I'm not mad at you. I speak my mind and I can live with the fact that you think I'm the worst piece of mule dung that's ever walked the earth.

I wasn't born to have my net worth decided by some royals. I'll kill anyone that wants to put me in a cage like that.

Ok y'all, I'm out. I expected some hostility but I don't want to be a cancer here. But I depart standing by everything I've typed in this thread. All that crap I e said in the past that cajunangelle posted was said in EXTREME anger. That 2016 election really got me fired up man. I will stfu and go back to lurking. Thank y'all for the feedback though.

Dude, people on this board are always happy to debate issues and ideas. However - and no disrespect intended - it truly is a terrible and horrifying idea.
It's like starting a thread with "hey guys, I've been reading about this idea for a social and economic system by which certain classes of inferior people are submitted to involuntary servitude in order to benefit more sophisticated members of society. Whaddya think?"

Under proper socialism one would simply not be allowed to be poor.
Bamagreycoat, don't leave. I think the reason for all of the hate you are getting is that you aren't thinking big enough! Who wants to live in a society where people are only not allowed to be poor? Why shouldn't we all be RICH?! The government should be giving people houses with a minimum of 5,000 square feet, we should all get to pick at least a $100,000 car, we should all get universal income checks every month of at least $10k, if not $20k or more! Think big young man! Give us some ideas of what the government should actually provide.

So in lieu of pay they receive clothing, shelter, food, and education?

So the theory is you will be made to enjoy life or we’ll make sure you don’t enjoy life.

I know a woman from Bulgaria. She's lived under the "communist" rule and she told me that everyone was given a role in the society. She didn't have a choice. To me, not having a choice as to the life you want to live doesn't sound fun at all.
OP, how about since you seem to like this form of government, we take away whatever education you have and make you become a fry cook at Whataburger?

Socialism, communism, and like-minded uber egalitarian unicorn societies all sound so wonderful on paper. Then the purges and killing start - all in the name of progress towards a mythical enlightened society where no one goes without.
The fundamental flaw with all of these utopian wonderland societies that they cannot exist absent an authoritarian State.
Ayn Rand explained it well in her philosophy known as 'objectivism', i.e., that people naturally act in their own rational self interest. No rational person will willfully submit their entire individuality to a State where everyone is equal. Unless, of course, they are allowed to join as a member of the Bourgeoisie.
America embodies the principle of 'equality of opportunity'.
Socialism, et al., embodies the principle of 'equality of outcome'.
The former principle doesn't always play out perfectly but is worthy to strive for. Life isn't fair.
The latter principle is impossible to achieve without an authoritarian State. Hence all the suffering and dead people.

In all seriousness, I see the allure for some but nobody ever consideres the human effect. That’s why it never works and never will. I’m vehemently against it because once you give that kind of power, it’s almost impossible to reverse it.
